Rep. Joe Miller Gives Sponsor Testimony on Bipartisan Bill to Establish an Indoor Mold Program

Joseph A. Miller, III News

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today gave sponsor testimony on bipartisan House Bill (HB) 282, which would establish an indoor mold program to inform the public about the serious health threats mold poses in homes and buildings. Water-damaged, moisture-damaged, and damp indoor environments not only impact our health, but also cause significant physical, emotional, and financial hardship to those exposed.

“This bill was brought to me by a constituent who was living in a home that turned out to be infested with mold without his knowledge. After hearing about his issue, and experiencing water damage and potential mold growth myself, I realized that policy was needed to provide the public with information and increase transparency, ” said Rep. Miller.

House Democrats are committed to putting people first, ensuring that all Ohioans receive the support for a healthy life, no matter who you are.
