Biography
State Representative Jeff McClain is currently serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 82nd House District, which includes all of Wyandot and Crawford counties, and a portion of Marion County, including the city of Marion.
Prior to serving in the Ohio House, Representative McClain was the Wyandot County auditor for over 26 years. He has been named a “Friend of Agriculture” by the Ohio Farm Bureau. Representative McClain has served on many professional and community boards.
Representative McClain currently resides in Upper Sandusky with his wife Barb. They are the parents of Riordan, Mallory and Mackenzie.
Responsibilities
A State Representative is an elected official whose job is to serve as a direct link between those Ohioans he or she was elected to represent and state government. In order to best fulfill this role, a representative responds to constituent concerns and works to provide solutions through legislative action. In order to best serve their constituents, a state representative attends meetings of their local civic, social and business groups in addition to responding to mail, email and telephone correspondence from constituents in their district.
