Biography

State Representative Terry Boose is currently serving his first term with the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 58th House District, which includes portions of Huron, Lorain and Seneca counties.

Representative Boose comes to the Legislature having served as the fiscal officer for Norwalk Township in Huron County. He also served as Huron County Commissioner and was a member of the Private Industry Council, Solid Waste District Board, Farmland Preservation Committee and Data Processing Board.

Staying active in his community, Representative Boose is a member of The Ohio State University LEAD Alumni Association, the Huron County Farm Bureau and the County Commissioners Association of Ohio.

Representative Boose earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Texas Tech University.

Representative Boose and his wife have four children and reside in Norwalk.

Responsibilities

A State Representative is an elected official whose job is to serve as a direct link between those Ohioans he or she was elected to represent and state government. In order to best fulfill this role, a representative responds to constituent concerns and works to provide solutions through legislative action. In order to best serve their constituents, a state representative attends meetings of their local civic, social and business groups in addition to responding to mail, email and telephone correspondence from constituents in their district.
